Local Camp For Preschoolers and Elementary-Aged Children Offers The Creative Difference

ALL children are born with a gift for creativity. And this can be seen in almost everything, from the way they use their imaginations  to the carefree way they move when you turn on music. This innate desire to experience the world is a vital part of a child’s development. As parents we have to foster and encourage this process. Exposing children to art, music, drama and creative imaginative play is important. I truly believe this, so I jumped at the opportunity to share information about a local program that is geared toward fostering children’s expression of creativity.

The Creative Difference, based out of Arlington, Va., is an educational enrichment program that offers opportunities for children to broaden their learning experience through hands-on and creative activities. The Creative Difference hosts camps during the summer, school holidays, after school and for parents night out.

The Creative Difference

According to their website, The Creative Difference programs “are designed to inspire children in creative thinking, problem solving, self-direction, discovery, higher-order thinking skills, and the courage to create something different!”

If you take a look at the amazing camps that are geared for children ages 3 to 10, I think you will see that this is not your ordinary camp opportunity. Here are just a few of their themes:

  • Star Wars
  • Mixed Media
  • Art Extravaganza
  • LegoTopia
  • The Way of the Jedi
  • UpCycled Art

I also love that you can register for each camp by the day. No need to pay for an entire week if you are only in town for a couple of days.

The founder of The Creative Difference, J. Jaye Steen, is hosting a giveaway for a free week of camp, which is valued at $350. Enter to win below!
